MANAGEMENT
The TVHeadEnd management page isn’t
particularly friendly,but thankfully you can
ignore most of the interface fornow. The
configuration wizard should be visible,but
we found we needed to close and relaunch it

forittowork properly.You should see the
button to do so toward the top-leftofthe
screen called Start Wizard.
The first page of the wizard asks for
your preferred language forthe website
and forthe EPG (Electronic Program Guide).
Enter these and click Save and Next. On the
next screen, just leave ‘Allowed network’
blank and enter asterisks in all the other
fields. Thisallows anyone to access the
video stream. Click Save and Next, and
you’ll need to tell TVHeadEnd which
network the Sony tuner chip of the TV HAT
uses. LeaveNetwork 1alone,and under

Network 2change the Network Type to
DVB-TNetwork. Click Save and Next.
The next step asks foryour preferred
broadcast mast. If you don’t know that,
head toukfree.tv/predictionand enter your
postcode.Then return to the TVHeadEnd
setup and scroll through the huge list of all
the broadcast masts in the world to find
yours. Now click Save and Next, and
TVHeadEnd will start the scan forTVand
radio channels. Once this is done, click Save
and Next, and tick all three boxes on the
next screen to have TVHeadEnd add channel
and service names automatically.
