Star of thebig screen
My partner,whohas been using a
Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2Pro with alarge
13.3in Quad HD displayrunning on Android

(it’sbeginningtogiveupthe
ghostslowlybutsurely;it’s
nearlyfiveyearsold,afterall,
so built-in redundancy is
kicking in) is asking fora
new tablet withthe same
displaycapabilities. Theywant
to read theirmagazines and
books on it without having to connns
keepzoominginandout.

occasional surfing of theweb,emailsand
typing out theodd letter. Themain thing it
is used forisasanePub reader,whichgiven
itsscreensizeisideal.
The more modern tabletstend to be a
maximum of 10in screen size and arenot
ideal forreadingon. Imention reading books
because my partner is an avid reader, being
an ex-English teacher,and can go through a
book in no time at all. The 13.3in screen is
also great forreading PDF magazines on.
So much forthe tablet revolution we
were all promised. Theyare much more
flexible than you think andyou can achieve
agreat deal, so come on manufacturers,
whereare the large tablets?
Is there anytechout there that can do
the jobbut not cost youover £1,000 to do
so?The Yoga Tablet 2Pro cost just over
£300, or thereabouts,when new.
It reminds me of carmanufacturers
who dare to bring something new to the

Newtabletsareindeedrare,andbig-

ourresearchsuggeststheYoga2TabletPro
was and remains unique in offering Quad HD
forsuch alowprice, though if you can live
with Full HD,we’drecommend the Linx 12X
(Shopper360): it has a12in touchscreen and
only costs £160.

Ninite fan
Regardingyourarticleonamazing
websites(Shopper385), Ithinkyou
should addninite.comto the list.
Ihaveused this foryears as an easy
means to install and updatethe usualfree
software and utilities, which everyone uses.
It’s freefor personal use,and installs the
latest versions without further input,
installing multiple appsasrequired –perfect
forsetting up anew PC or laptop.
