Thisyear’srecipientis JeremyGilbert,whohasbeenthe
MarketingManagerforNikonUKsince1999.Hebegan
hisphotographiccareerin retail,firstat PhotoMarkets,
thenFoxTalbotandCityCameraExchange.In 1986he
joinedNikon’ssalesteamasSalesManagerforLondon
andtheSouthEast,andwasnamedSalesmanof theyear
in 1989, 1991 and1992.In 1996hebecameProduct
ManagerforProfessionalProductsin timetooverseethe
launchof theflagshipF5.SincebecomingMarketing
ManagerhehasmanagedtheUKlaunchforeveryNikon
cameraof thepast 20 years.Hewasresponsiblefor
Nikon’sacclaimedandmuchparodiedI AM advertising
campaign,whichappearedin printand
onTV,aswellashigh-profile
sponsorshipsincludingHollyoaks,
LondonFashionWeek,Goodwood
Festivalof Speed,theReading
FestivalandtheNMEAwards.He
retiresfromNikonnextmonth
after 34 years with the
company.
