In addition
to text, Noto
supports
equations, tables,
images, and file
attachments.

On iPad you get a simple two–panel layout; you can hide the sidebar if you want.

NOTO — ELEGANT NOTE
Fast and easy to use
Supports multiple media types
Relatively limited features
Limited export options
GREAT

We reviewed Noto 1.0, and
it’s already as polished and
useful as many more mature
apps. The developers have
promised that they will be
adding more features in the
coming months, so it’s likely
to become more useful than it
already is. It’s no substitute for
heavyweight writing apps or
ecosystems such as Evernote,
but if you want a simple and
lightweight writing app that
covers the basics then Noto is

experienced on your journey.

italic, underline, strikethrough
and highlight, bulleted and
numbered lists. And if you
have the Pro version you can
also include attachments such
as inline images, videos, or
Ľle attachments. There are
formatting options for block
quotes, code – including
syntax highlighting – and
mathematical equations,
and when you’re done you can
export as HTML, PDF, or JPG.
There’s also a persistent word
count at the bottom of the
screen but Noto doesn’t oļer
the same reading statistics
that you will Ľnd in some
other writing apps such as
character count or estimated
reading times.
The formatting options also
include checkboxes and tables,
which make Noto useful for
more than just writing. For
example, if you’re planning
a trip you could embed a map,
