Netflix has pulled out all the stops ahead of the arrival of Disney+
(seeopposite page) with Locke & Key, which ticks every Disney-
bustingbox: haunted house, graphic-novel adaptation, worldly
teens with supernatural powers and Stephen King – sort of.
King’s son, Joe Hill, wrote the stories this show is faithfully
adapted from (bit.ly/landk494), and they’re a perfect fit
forNetflix.
Locke & Key’s official trailer (bit.ly/locke494) sets the
unsettling tone. The three Locke siblings return with their
mother to their ancestral home, Keyhouse, following their
dad’s gruesome murder. The kids find themselves
cohabiting with a magical presence that only they can see,
and a collection of keys with a demonic life of their own.
All 10 episodes arrive on Netflix on Friday 7 February.
You can also explore the books, characters and magical
keys on the Locke & Key wiki at bit.ly/lkwiki494.
