How you’re making a difference

For the last several years, Deborah Campagna has hosted a pillowcase

sewathon with up to 10 friends. Numerous out-of-state friends also have

participated by mailing her completed pillowcases. In 2019, the group

completed 350 pillowcases and donated them to UC Davis Children’s

Hospital. Each time a sewathon wraps up, Deborah says, the participants

comment that they can’t wait until the next one. “The love for sewing

pillowcases is in all their hearts now,” she says. “It just keeps growing.”
