Referring to Diagram 9, sew

together two A segments, one

B segment, and one C segment.

Referring to Diagram 10, sew

an A segment to bottom edge of

Step 1 unit. Add a D segment to left-

hand edge to make Block 1. The block

should be 10^1 ∕ 2 " square including seam

allowances.

Repeat steps 1 and 2 to make 12

total of Block 1.

Referring to Diagram 11, sew

together an E segment and an F

segment; add a solid white 4^1 ∕ 2 " square.
