in corner of a solid green C piece; align
raw edges. Hand- or machine-appliqué
turned-under edges of B square to C
piece to make a cone unit (Diagram 4).
Repeat to make 25 cone units total.

Referring to Diagram 5, lay

out three bud units and one

cone unit in pairs. Stitching between

matching points, join units in pairs;

do not sew into^1 ∕ 4 " seam allowances at

beginning and end of seams. Join pairs

between dots.
