Fabinho would not have looked out of place in the class of 1985/86
which won a league-and-FA-Cup double under Kenny Dalglish in his
first season as player-manager. They took the title with eleven wins
and one draw from their final dozen league games, then of course beat
neighbours Everton to clinch the Cup at Wembley.
Defender Alan Hansen recalls: ““The team as a whole were
magnificent during the run-in. Hard games came at us thick and fast
and it was in the true Liverpool tradition that we had an opportunity
and took it.”
This red-and-grey track jacket features the commemorative words
‘FA CUP FINAL’ AND ‘WEMBLEY 1986’ embroidered on the chest in
white, with a raised Crown Paints logo in white on the back.
