The timer function
in the Clock app
is ideal for timing
indoor activities
or even outdoor
runs. It will audibly
alert you when you
have reached your
targeted duration.

Notes and paste it
into Numbers. You
can do a lot more
with this data in the
Numbers app.
4 Check your
progress
Using the graph
function in Numbers
lets you easily see
your progress over
extended periods
of time. You can
immediately see
if your exercise
is increasing and
make required
adjustments.

your progress.

called Heart Rate that cleverly uses the camera and the flash on your iPhone to analyse how fast your heart is beating and you can use
this data in a variety of interesting ways.
Go premium
If you choose to subscribe to the
premium features you will be able to
undertake stress tests and also build
plans which will let you gain an even
deeper insight into your heart health.
History is important
Your historic results are listed so you
can quickly check for any concerning
changes. If all is well you should see
your heart rate stay within a limited
range which is reassuring for anyone
who uses it.
Front and centre
When you check your heart rate the
result will be prominently displayed
so that you can easily see if it is within
an acceptable range. The process for
checking your heart rate takes longer
than with a heart rate monitor.
Measure your heart
Quick measurements
To measure your current heart rate
simply hit the ‘Measure’ icon and then
hold your finger gently over the flash
on your iPhone. The app will tell you
when the measurement is completed
so you can lift your finger away.
