Stop Safari showing
blank webpages

W
hen iOS 13 launched in September 2019, a
number of users began to notice that websites
would sometimes appear as blank pages in
Safari. In many cases, closing the tab and relaunching
the site would rectify the issue but there have been times
that the problem persists (even in subsequent updates),
forcing users to seek a different solution.
If this happens to you, then you can take a few rectifying
steps. For starters, you could try connecting to a different
network or you could follow the age-old trick of turning
your device off and on again. But there are other methods
available to you that offer a potentially longer-term solution
- other than switching to a different browser such as
Chrome, of course. Here we take a look at some of them.
Step-by-step Fix Safari’s blank page problem
1
Blank screens
Use Safari on your iPhone or iPad in the
usual way. Most of the time it will work as it
should, displaying websites without any issues
but blank screens can start to appear.
2
Switch to cellular
You may be able to quickly fix this by
turning off the Wi-Fi and making use of your
cellular data. Simply access the Control Centre
on your device and tap the Wi-Fi icon.
3
Launch Settings
If this doesn’t rectify the issue, then you
will need to clear Safari’s accumulated data.
Do so by launching the Settings app before
navigating to the option for Safari.
If you have experienced blank Safari websites since
updating to iOS 13 then there are some possible fixes...
