Hosted by Ali Wentworth, the 16 th annual
Red Dress Awards was an evening of inspiration
and celebration. Honorees included actress/
director Chandra Wilson, Mary N. Walsh, M.D.,
FACC, actress/director Angela Bassett, and
T. Morgan Dixon and Vanessa Garrison, cofounders
of GirlTrek, who were presented with the National
Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute Healthy Heart
Award. The event showcased the importance
of women’s heart health education, with actress
Susan Lucci addressing the audience about her
own health journey and the reveal of the
2018 – 2019 Woman’s Day Live Longer and Stronger
participants. During the program, guests were
treated to entertainment by COBU, Alexa Ray Joel,
and headliner Ann Wilson of Heart, who rocked
the stage with her powerful, soulful voice.
