This Mother’s Day we’re thinking beyond the
bouquet and sending Mom flowers sprinkled on
this luscious ice cream pie. Lemon and ginger are
an irresistibly bright combo, especially in this crisp
double-ginger shortbread crust filled with ice cream
made aromatic by steeping lemon verbena in
milk. (Lemon zest is an equally delicious substitute.) n

with phlox and roses,
plus a few lemon
verbena sprigs, but
any edible flowers
will work. Remember:
