Real Madrid and Barcelona have had in Europe, but we were
lucky enough to come to Qatar and it is massive to win it.
“We might never get the chance to play in it again. Hopefully
that’s not the case, but it’s a possibility and the main thing was
it didn’t change our focus on everything else. We came to Qatar
for a reason and it was important that we did what we set out to
achieve.”
That FIFA Club World Cup success was the third medal of
Oxlade-Chamberlain’s Liverpool career having been an unused
substitute in the Champions League final against Spurs in Madrid
and started against Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup final in
Istanbul.
Given he has also won three FA Cups as an Arsenal player,
plus three Community Shields with the Gunners, his next
winners’ medal will be the 10th of the 26-year-old midfielder’s
career.
Adding to that collection is a motivation that drives Oxlade-
Chamberlain on. He’s very much a ‘no regrets’ kind of guy and
