“Winning medals is massive for me. I’ve been around for a
few years now and I was at a top club in Arsenal that, with the
squad we had, didn’t reach the heights we would have liked to.
We won three FA Cups, but we didn’t manage to get as far as we
would have liked in the Champions League or Premier League.
“Now I’m lucky enough to be in a team that is this good, with
a manager who is this good, and with a fan-base that being
successful means so much to – not just in Liverpool, but around
the whole world. It’s not something I want to pass up on or miss
out on.
“There have been times when players have been in teams that
haven’t quite managed to win as much as they wanted to. They
must look back and think: that team should have done this or
should have done that.
