Curtis JonesCurtis, who wore the no48 shirt, also explained the work that
had gone into his winning strike.
“In the FA Cup they use Mitre balls and we were practising with
them in the sessions before the game. To be fair, the flight of those
balls is a bit different to the ones we use in the Premier League.
“When Div [Origi] played the ball back to me I noticed that the
defender had backed off a little and that I could get a shot in.
“Obviously it was an incredible feeling to see it go in. Now we’re
looking forward to the next game in this competition as we just
want to win games.”
