While LFC Foundation’s mission is to create
life-changing opportunities for youngsters
in Merseyside and beyond, Red Neighbours
specifically focuses on making a difference to
people living in and around the Anfield area in
the L4, L5 and L6 postcodes.
At the end of last year England international
and local lad Trent Alexander-Arnold helped
Red Neighbours launch its Christmas Foodbank
Appeal, dropping by North Liverpool Foodbank
to donate food, meet staff and volunteers and
find out more about the centre’s important
work, and declaring: “I’m really proud that my
club is supporting such an important cause.
“It was a pleasure to be able to visit the

Trent’s support was matched by a visit from
Everton players Moise Kean and Alex Iwobi,
who also donated food and helped to weigh
and sort donations.
These visits, along with other club activity,
helped to raise awareness of food-poverty and
encourage food donations leading up to and
throughout the Christmas period, which can
be a difficult time for many people.
Back at Anfield club staff worked together
to create the club’s first-ever ‘Christmas GivingTree’, made out of food donations, which
featured on the club’s official Christmas card
distributed around the world. On display in the
Main Stand, the tree was accompanied by a
text-to-donate number.
In the new year fans can drop off their
donations three hours before kick-off at three
locations around the ground – a foodbank
van located on Anfield Road, the official LFC
retail store and Homebaked bakery on Oakfield
Road.
Priority items include: UHT milk, long-life
juice or cordial, coffee, pasta and curry sauce,
tinned meat and vegetables, instant mash,
rice-pudding and custard, jam, toiletries, cup-
