NECO’S DERBY DELIGHT
Neco Williams followed up his outstanding
display versus Arsenal in the Carabao Cup with
another as the Reds defeated Everton in the
FA Cup third round. The Welshman used to be
mentored at the Academy by ex-Reds right-back
Rob Jones who told the club’s website: “It’s no
surprise he would go into the first team and do
well. I had no worries about him at all. I was
pretty confident he would go in there and play
like he did [v Everton]. He’s got such ability.”
