It’s nearly time for The Photography Show to make its
annual appearance. Scheduled for 14-17 March, it’ll be
packed with over 300 brands, a wealth of cutting-edge
tech and a full line-up of educational speakers. You’ll also
be able to get to grips with the latest gear and show
discounts. Of course, no visit to TPS is complete without
stopping by the Practical Photography stand, J133, where
you can chat with members of the editorial team and take
advantage of a special show subscription offer, which
could bag you up to a 50% discount on shop prices.

Nikon took to the CES tech convention to
announce a slew of new products recently.
The Japanese camera brand unveiled the
latest entry to its full-frame DSLR range
in the form of the D780, a follow-up to the
hugely popular D750.
Packing a 24.5MP sensor, it aims to
combine the familiarity of a DSLR with
the flexibility of mirrorless. The optical
viewfinder gives a traditional shooting
experience, with access to a 51-point
phase detection AF system, full autofocus
modes and 7fps continuous shooting.
However, using the 3.2in 2359k-dot tilting
touchscreen opens up a wealth of new
opportunities. There are 273 points of
on-sensor phase detection to cover 90%
of the frame vertically and horizontally,
a maximum 12fps continuous shooting
in silent Live View and Eye-Detection AF.
Video is available up to 4K 30fps or 1080p
120fps, and includes a range of features
such as N-Log, Hybrid Log Gamma and
10-bit recording for extra editing flexibility.
It ’s available now for £2199 body only.
