One area where Apple can improve, however,
is startup time from a full shutdown. The Pixel 4
XL obliterated the other phones, and the iPhone

OnePlus 7T: 20 seconds
Apple iPhone 11: 21 seconds

Granted, we rarely restart our phones – and the
iPhone needs it even less often than the Android
phoneshere– butI’dstillliketoseeAppleget
closertothe Pixel with the iPhone 12.
Theresultshereunderscoremyfrustrationswith
thePixel4 XL:if Googlecanoptimizestart-up time,
why can’t it do the same with the rest of Android?
TheGalaxyS10+andOnePlus7Tbasicallyrun
circlesaround the Pixel 4, but neither can touch
theiPhone’scrazyspeeds,even if you won’t
noticethemmuch.
