Steps 13a-c.
Once rested, put some glue on the base and extrude
red fondant strings. Twirl the fondant strings around
and onto your poppy petal base randomly. Make 4-5
petals of varying shapes for each poppy centre placed
on the cake.

Steps 14a-c.
Place the petals around the poppy centre. You can
overlap them to give the poppies a 3D feel. You can
make buds too by just using one petal and placing some
green twirls in a W and U shape as the sepal on the
petal. Use pins to hold the petals in place until the glue
has dried.

Step 15.
For the daisies, make 10-12 x 1.5”-3” green fondant
sausage-like strings to make the stems at the base of the
bottom tier. Then 10-12 yellow twirls for the centres of
varying sizes and about 8-10 white sausage-like strings
per daisy centre which will be the petals.

Steps 16a & b.
Place the daisy stems all around the bottom tier
randomly. Around each stem, place 8-10 daisy petals.
Put the daisy centre in the middle. Use pins to hold
everything in place until the glue has dried.

Step 17.
Back to the sun. Now, it is time to put posy picks into the
cake and the wire of the sun in the pick. That’s it!
