MANA-A-MANA Get acquainted with the battlefields of Runeterra

DIVINE
INTERVENTION

12
Sometimes a
round’s
different
permutations can
be overwhelming.
The Oracle’s Eye,
located between
each Nexus, shows
you how each active
spell impacts the
board so keep an,
err, eye on it.

FOCAL
POINT
Each player has a
maximum of 20 health
points. Your Nexus is blue,
your opponent’s is red. If
either one depletes to zero

  • yeah, you guessed it

    • that competitor
      loses.

SIMPLYTHEQUEST

11
One of the best XP generators is daily
quests, and you can re-roll them if
needed. You also get a hefty 100XP even if
you lose in PvP, so it’s definitely worth
dipping your toes into competitive play.
You’ll pick up on others’ strategies too.

CARDSONTOUR

8
The ‘expeditions’ mode does away
with pre-made decks and instead has
you crafting one over 15 rounds, tweaking
your strategy as you go. Enter with in-game
currency or real money and see how far you
can get. Lose twice and you’re out.

METATOGETHER

9
While constructing your own tactics is
one of the best parts of Legends of
Runeterra, online research to get tips on the
most effective meta decks can only help.
Check out our best decks guide on
pcgamer.com for more.

WEEKLYWINNINGS

10
Expand your paltry starter decks with
more cards through the weekly vault.
From every Tuesday you can open up to
three chests containing cards or ways to
create them, and their value increases
based on your XP haul that week.

MANA TIME
This number in blue
shows your mana. A
unit’s mana cost is
indicated
at the top-left, and any
mana unspent can be
saved and put
towards spells.

AT TACKS
VS DEFENCE
During each round, one
player attacks and the
other defends, but both
have the opportunity to play
cards. The orange sword
indicates the
attacking
phase.
