Letter of the Month
I’m a member of a small local camera
club here in Lisburn (Northern
Ireland), where we have monthly
competitions on various topics. For
the January topic title of ‘All Things
Round’ I eventually decided to put
my own twist on something simple
and dust off Photoshop. I employed
my limited skills for lighting,
composition and post-processing
and remarkably (in my opinion) the
result wasn’t crap. Delighted in my

What could possibly take the shine
of my effort... Sitting down with my
copy of PhotoPlus (issue 162) and
what do I see? A tutorial on how to

Fruit image! There goes my kudos for
artistic originality. Anyhow, I’m glad
to see that after reading the article,
I’m still very happy with my own
image. All in all quite amusing!
