Extended Data Table 4 | The Langmuir constant for adsorption of MQ and AQ at kinks


The Langmuir constant KLB and the limiting fraction of occupied kinks ξ determined from the linear plots in Extended Data Fig. 4 assuming that unliganded MQ and AQ are the active inhibitors
and, alternatively, that the complexes H 2 MQ and H 2 AQ are the active inhibitors. Evaluation of [MQ] and [AQ] or [H 2 MQ] and [H 2 AQ] at cB = 2.5 μM, at which the inhibitor effects on the surface free
energy of the step edge γ were measured, and of the factors ξKLB[B], ξln(1 + KLB[B]), ξKLB[H 2 B] and ξln(1 + KLB[H 2 B]) used in the evaluation of Δγ in the presence of an inhibitor.
