Porsche 718 Cayman
For Slick manual gearshift; very composed;
surprisingly comfortable and practical
Against Less engaging; dull engine note;
lots of road noise; depreciates faster
Bythestandardsoftwo-seat sports cars,
theCaymanhasalways been very easy
tolivewith,andthisnew T variant doesn’t
sacricethat.In fact,it could do with feeling
a littlemorefocusedto help justify its £7k
premiumovertheentry-level Cayman.
TheA110demands more from you,
butit alsodeliversmore thrills, and that’s
obviouslysignicantwith cars likes this. Add
in thefactthatit willcost you quite a bit less
in thelongrunandit has to win the test.
If it wereourmoney, though, we’d go for
thestandardA110rather than the S. It’s
cheaper,looksalmost identical and has
sweetersteeringanda more settled ride.
