Surface Laptop 3 for

Business and the

Surface Pro 7 share

a common CPU and

GPU platform, the

differences in this

benchmark are

stark. Why? Using

traced the GPU

power and

frequency as it ran

the benchmark. The

Surface Pro 7 seems

to throttle the GPU

pretty hard in this

particular test.

Though the SP7’s

GPU occasionally

spikes to a peak

speed of 3.7GHz, it

tends to run at

benchmark shows

sharp differences

between the

Surface Laptop 3

and the Surface

Pro 7, but there is

also a pronounced

performance

improvement on the
