delay Apple’s upcoming iPhone 12 family
and the new iPhone 9 phone. With several
production facilities on lockdown and travel to
China banned or restricted, it is proving to be
difficult for Apple to move forward with any
of its product categories, and the Mac is not
excluded from this narrative. Mac Pro orders,
for example, are delayed following COVID-19.


PUTTING THE PRO BACK INTO
THE MACBOOK


Though the coronavirus outbreak is putting
the brakes on manufacturing and launches, it
is clear that Apple is working hard to build new
products that consumers want to buy. When the
company added a Touch Bar to the MacBook
Pro, many said that the firm was “dumbing
down” one of its most popular product
categories, and though Tim Cook and Co appear
adamant to make the Touch Bar a success, we
can at least rest assured that the MacBook Pro
will be given some internal attention this year
with a spec-bumped model expected soon.


According to reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi
Kuo, Apple is set to launch an all-new 14.1-
inch MacBook Pro in the next few months,
the successor to the current 13-inch model.
Last year, Apple announced the successor to
the 15-inch MacBook Pro - an all-new 16-
inch version, complete with smaller screen
bezels and Apple’s new scissor-switch Magic
Keyboard. The 13-inch model will follow suit
and come with a new mini-LED panel, which
offers a rich wide color gamut, high contrast
ratios, high dynamic range, and localized
