Found on every continent except Antarctica, house
sparrows are experts at making themselves at
home wherever they are. Their proximity to humans
throughout history has served them well. Happily living
alongside us, they make use of our handouts, crops and
buildings – often turning cracks and holes in houses
into cosy nest sites. Here, an air vent set into the
Christian Wapplcolourful wall of a Moroccan supermarket will do nicely.
