It’s always the same – you head to a peaceful
spot on the beach for a bit of R&R, only to find
that everyone else has had the same idea. Though
sociable creatures – found in groups of just a
handful up to several thousand – walruses are
increasingly having to jostle for space. Used to
hauling out on sea-ice in northern waters, these
pinnipeds are now having to cram onto any stretch
of dry land they can find, as climate change causes
