deconstruct the imagery in Scene i, lines 122–129
by having partners work together to answer the
following questions: What line is stretching out
to the crack of doom? (A procession of Banquo’s
offspring) What does the eighth offspring in
line carry? (a mirror) What does Macbeth see in
the mirror? (many more of Banquo’s offspring)How does Macbeth know that this vision is true?
(He sees Banquo, with his hair matted in blood,
