› › HOW TOStep Three: This will serve as the
backside of the interior of our hollow
lighthouse, but we need the curves of
the building materials to arc the cor-
rect way. Flip the layer vertically with
Edit>Transform>Flip Vertical. Then,
use Edit >Transform>Perspective to
distort the shape so it matches the
same perspective of the original.
Right-click inside the bounding box,
and select Scale. Drag the bottom-
center point downward so the shape
covers most of the bottom of the
lighthouse, despite the exaggerated
curve. Press Enter, and then in the
Layers panel, drag this layer below the
Lighthouse Body Front layer, and hide
both Lighthouse Body layers from
view by clicking their Eye icons.Step Four: Make a copy of the Background layer and call it “Sky Fill.” Create a
selection from the Lighthouse Body path in the Paths panel as we did before. Go
to Edit>Content-Aware-Fill to open the Content-Aware Fill workspace. Photoshop
will sample from any areas in the image that have a color overlay (green by default).
If Photoshop is sampling from other portions of the lighthouse to fill the selection,
use the Sampling Brush tool (B) set to Subtract from Overlay Area in the Options Bar
(the minus brush) to remove those pixels from consideration. If there are portions of
the sky that aren’t included in the sampling area, switch the brush to Add to Overlay
