Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared a research
note in early March to suggest that Apple
was working on a new iMac Pro for the
fourth quarter of 2020, too, featuring a mini-
LED screen for the first time. The original
iMac Pro was announced at the Worldwide
Developers Conference in 2017, and features
Xeon processors, Radeon Pro Vega graphics,
Thunderbolt 3, and a unique Space Gray body.
Last year, Apple added new 256GB RAM and
Radeon Pro Vega 64X upgrade options, but
a new mini-LED option would allow for a
thinner and lighter iMac Pro with improved
color gamut performance, local dimming, and
higher contrast.
