daughter you are! Why are you riding the buffalo when you are strong enough to
walk? You better get down at once! Let your old mother be the one who rides the
buffalo.”
Hearing these sharp words, the girl got down from the buffalo. Her mother
took her place to ride. That was how the two of them kept going. The young lady
walked behind, and the mother rode the buffalo.
After some time, they came to a village. A well was located there. A few
young men had come to it for water.
