When they came to a field, the road ended. They had to cross the field to
find another road. The owner of the field was working, and she called out to them,
“Walk carefully! My field is full of thorns because it is not yet cleaned up.” The
daughter accidentally stepped on a thorn and cried out, "Ouch!"
The owner of the field saw their buffalo. “What are you doing?” she called.
“You have a buffalo. Why don’t you ride it? You are treating that buffalo as your
ruler! How foolish you are!”
“Oh, dear!” The mother and the daughter did not know what to do.
“Whatever we do, someone has something to say about it!” They talked and talked.
