JORGE SAMPAOLI, who led
Argentina at the 2018 World Cup,
was named coach of Brazil’s Atletico
Mineiro, replacing Rafael Dudamel
who was sacked after just two months
in charge.

Ex-Valencia forward MISTA was
named coach of Canadian Premier
League debutants Atletico Ottawa,
who are owned by Atletico Madrid.

Sporting swoop for Braga’s Amorim


Sporting appointed RUBEN AMORIM as coach following
the departure of Silas after a run of poor results that saw
the side slip to fourth place in the Portuguese league.
Sporting paid €10million to release Amorim from his
Braga contract, along with his assistants Adelio Candido
and Carlos Fernandes. Amorim had replaced Sa Pinto
as Braga boss in January.
Braga, in turn, promoted under-17 coach CUSTODIO
to the position of first-team boss.
