likehowtheletteringlooks.”

worldwithsoloshowsasfarafield

Inthatmodernmeasureofsuccess,

FacebookandhisInstagrampage
boastssome86,000followers,many
ofwhomheappraiseonhispaintings
inthecommentsbeneath.Andyet
Antoniomaintainsa quietmodesty
aboutwhathedoes.Yougetthe

hissuccesstodateforgranted.
“Paintingis difficultbecauseyou
worknotknowingif it willsellor
not,”heconfides.Hisportfolioalso
encompassescommercialillustration,
sculptureandmurals.Thelatter
arehuge,brightbeaconsofcolour
decoratingthesidesofbuildingsand
otherpublicspacesineverywhere
fromShanghaitoHonolulu.
WhilesomeofAntonio’sinspiration
comesfromhisdreams,muchofit
comesfromphotography– bothother
people’sandhisown.Helovestaking
