“IloveNorthCountryFramequilts,soI usedsomeof myfavourite
characteristicsof thestylein thisproject;it is alsoa scrappyquilt,as manyof them
oftenwere.I useda yellowfloralfabricat dierentpointsthroughoutthequiltto
addconsistency,andI findthatthisdrawstheeyefromthemiddleto theouter
border.ThecreamfabricsI usedarea mixof dierentdesigns,butyoucould
useonethroughoutthequilt.Forthecentreof theCastleWallblock,I fussy-cut
froma stripefabricto createa secondarydesign– if youwantedto skipthis,use
thesolidoctagontemplate.Thegreatthingaboutthelastframeonthisquiltis
thatyoucanmakeit fitanysizeof quilt,whichis probablywhyit wassopopular
amongquilters.Thequiltingwasinspiredbya piecein MarionDrake’s collection
