Takethepreparedsmallvinesand
pinthemontothebackground
fabric,tuckingtherawedgesunder
thepetalsoftheflowers.Thecurve
ofthevineshouldmeasure 1 in
away from the raw edge as shown.

Positionthesmallleavesas
shown, twenty (20) on each side,

tuckingthepointsjustunderneath
thevines.Pininplace.Slipstitchthe
shapestothebackgroundfabricwith
a matchingthread,workinginthe
followingsequence:smallleavesfirst,
thenthevines,andthentheEPP
flower.Addthesmallbudstotheend
ofeachvine,andsmallblueandpink
circlesinthecentreoftheflower.
Repeat on the opposite side.

Placeandpinthelargevine
strips at each end of the

runner,echoingthecurveand
measuring 2 infromtherawedge
of your background fabric(Fig 4 ).

Takethelargeleavesandpinin
placeintriosaroundthevine
asshown,forty-two(42)at eachend,
startingwiththetwoouterleavesof
thetriofirst.Usethediagram as your
guide to place your pieces.

flowerbudpetalsontothe
fabric,startingwiththecentral
creambudandpinningintoplace.
Stitchthetwoouterbudpetals
(pink)togetherat thecentralpoint
andpinintoplace.Thebaseofthe
flower heads should be 5in apart

petalandbastethefabricaround
each,usingyourpreferredmethod.
EPPsix(6)oftheshapestogether
withwhipstitchtomaketwo(2)large
flowers.Usingthediagram(Fig 4 )
asa guide,pinthelargeEPPflowers
intoplace,usingthecentralbasted
linetolevelwithcircularvine.Stitch
theflowerintoplacefollowedbythe
petaldetails.Then,pinandstitch
thelargepinkandbluecircles to the
centre of each large flower.

Onceallthepiecesarestitched
inplace,presstherunnerfrom
thewrongside.Useyourpreferred
methodtocreatea quiltsandwich
withthebackingandbatting.Mark
outhandquiltingguidelines1inapart
and quilt using a blending thread.

Oncecomplete,addbias
bindingtothefront,starting
onthestraightedgeandwork
yourwayaround.If possible,use
a walkingfoottomachinestitch
bindingintoplaceandslowlystitch
curvestoensuretheydonotstretch
outtoomuch.Handstitchthe
binding to the back of the runner.
