Brendon Degee, a South African celebrity makeup artist, has been in and out of
India since 2004. He started as a hair stylist but decided to pitch in on makeup as well
to complete the whole face himself. Degee has worked with supermodels like Kate
Moss, Jerry Hall, and Naomi Campbell to name a few. In this issue, he works his magic
on cover star Kangana Ranaut in ‘A True Romance’,
pg 126. “It’s always a delight to work with the Bazaar
team. They bring a renewed energy into each shoot.
Shooing in Cannes with Kangana and Bazaar was
the perfect combination for me.” Rasino Terhuja
is a Delhi-based makeup artist who has collaborated
with fashion labels like Atsu, Urvashi Kaur, and Divya
Gupta. Here, she displays her skills in the story ‘Jean
Pool’, pg 62. “Working with the magazine gives me
a chance to meet interesting people from diferent
walks of life like India’s top chefs, social media
inluencers, young creative designers, and yogis. Thank
you Bazaar for the lovely experiences.” Colleen Hill
is a fashion historian and author based in New York
City. In her role as curator of costume and accessories
at The Museum at FIT (MFIT), she has organised
more than a dozen shows, including Shoe Obsession,
Fairy Tale Fashion, and Paris Refashioned, 1957-1968.
In this issue, she traces the history of four iconic bags
in ‘Love Eternal’, pg 72. “I still carry a handbag I found
at an antiques store during my childhood—a metallic
silver purse covered in chain link from the 1960s.
It has become my personal version of the iconic bag.”
Abheet Gidwani is a Mumbai-based photographer.
He enrolled at Speos: Photography School Paris in
2009 to hone his craft. Gidwani has worked on campaigns for Payal
Khandwala, BBLUNT, and Quantico. Here, he photographs the bond
between sisters in fashion in ‘The Style Gene’, pg 83. “I had a wonderful
experience with Bazaar. The chance to photograph real people and
their relationships was a new experience. The team and I both had the
same drive and passion for this shoot.” Ira Trivedi is a Delhi-based
author and yoga teacher. She has written eight books including 10
Minute Yoga Solution (HarperCollins) and My Book of Yoga (Scholastic).
Trivedi trained at the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre and
was a part of the team leading the irst International Day of Yoga in
Delhi. In 2017, she was honoured as one of BBC’s 100 most inluential
women in the world. In this issue, she demonstrates the surya namaskara
in ‘Salute The Sun’, pg 96. “It was great working with the Bazaar team,
and is always a delight to be featured in my favourite magazine.” ■
