“I chose the plaid trend to collage because of its timeless
and graphic nature. I am drawn to patterns and prints
and work with them all the time in my own collage art.
All of my work is handmade and the end result is
photographed or scanned. So many graphics today are
created digitally so I enjoy maintaining some traditional
methods of art-making to share with the world.”

cats that week and when I saw the
Versace runway look I knew
I wanted to transform it into
something. The artwork is
a depiction of destruction,
a battle between two
wilds—the urban jungle
and the real wilderness.
A collage involves an
assembly of multiple
elements, there might
be different mediums,
styles, even different
artists’ works, all of
which come together
to create your own
fantasy world.”
