“I began working with collage in 2016, applying the knowledge of building narratives that I use
in my work as a scenographer. Only here it is in a two-dimensional space and I can create
powerful juxtapositions in a single frame. In my collage work I extensively use vintage imagery,
mainly from India, to create scenes that depict current times. In this collage I have mashed up
images of pastel runway looks with old photos in largely sepia tones. I imagined these women
at a tea party set in a dreamy landscape.”
