NO BORDERS SHOP
Tucked away of a busy main road in south Mumbai
is the charming Khotachiwadi heritage district.
Walk past old homes with mosaic walls, a chapel
with a mural of the Virgin Mary, and go up the
wooden staircase of a yellow-painted, 200-year-old
bungalow. With its tiled flooring, coloured ceiling
lamps, and antique furniture, No Borders Shop feels
like it’s from an older time. Here, designers like Eká,
Anavila, Rimzim Dadu, and péro sit comfortably
alongside vintage finds from Christian Dior, Prada,
and Norma Kamali as well as indie accessory
brands Luiny and Arpana Rayamajhi from the US.
Owner Kanika Karvinkop plans to host exhibitions
at the space and she already showcases artworks
by illustrator Isabelle Feliu and embroidery artist
Negine Jasmine, among others.

We’re already fans of Nappa Dori’s polished leather bags and accessories. Now, designer
Gautam Sinha has taken his brand further with this latest flagship store in Delhi that
occupies a sprawling 7,000 sq ft warehouse. Unlike their previous outlets, this one
boasts a café and houses a range of other brands including menswear by Shift,
womenswear by Bodice, and sneakers from VegNonVeg. An in-house studio means
you can have your Nappa Dori leather goods customised while you sip on hot chocolate
or snack on pierogis at Café Dori. As an added bonus, there’s
a separate menu for dogs in case you want to bring along a furry friend.
