Ranveer Singh is a fashion chameleon.
From tailored suits to neon sportswear—he is not afraid to
mix it up. As the actor was appointed the new face of Italian
eyewear brand Carrera, we got him to talk about his love for
sunglasses. What is the first thing you associate with Italian style?
I’ve been to Italy multiple times—it’s a gorgeous country, very stylish and
aesthetically inclined. Milan has always been the centre of the fashion world.
When you say something is ‘made in Italy’ you know that it’s of the highest quality.
Do you have a favourite pair of Carrera sunglasses? I like the Soft Pilot a lot,
but the Tank Hinge is my current favourite. It’s motor racing-inspired and is great
if you are doing something active. I also love that the lens isn’t completely dark,
because that means you can wear it in the evening as well. How many
sunglasses do you own? That number is in the hundreds. I like to keep
sunglasses as memorabilia. So I have a couple of pairs from Gunday
and a pair from Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. There have been
instances where I’ve brought my own pair of shades
to the set and they’ve become the sunglasses of
