Emeralds and rubies don’t just belong in a safe,

only to be worn on special occasions. A new collaboration

between Gemields and ine jewellery showroom Muse showcases

the everyday appeal of these stones. Focused on earrings, the range of hoops,

chandeliers, and studs, created by renowned international designers,

is modern, versatile, and utterly wearable. Take, for instance, Los Angeles-based

Nancy Newberg’s capsule collection of hoops—crafted in rose gold and ruby, and

sold separately, they can be customised by mixing metals and circle sizes. Danish

designer Sophie Bille Brahe, whose pieces have been worn by Rihanna, Emma

Watson, and Zoë Kravitz, updated her classic styles by incorporating emeralds.

“I wanted to make it bigger and bolder, by adding colour and using larger

stones,” says Brahe. he collection also includes earrings by Ana Khouri,

Nikos Koulis, and Silvia Furmanovich, to name a few—each piece

flashes with the brilliant colours of hand-selected and

responsibly sourced Mozambican rubies and

Zambian emeralds. ■
