SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FLIP
£1,300, samsung.com/uk

Barely six months have passed since Samsung
launched its first folding handset, aptly titled
the Galaxy Fold, and already the South Korean
firm has taken another stab at the market.
To be fair, the Z Flip is a different proposition,
folding horizontally instead of vertically, and
featuring Samsung’s new Ultra-Thin Glass
display rather than a polymer one. Opened
up, the HDR10+ Dynamic AMOLED screen
measures a virtually bezelless 6.7 inches, but
it’s when the Hideaway Hinge is activated that
the Z Flip is perhaps at its most useful, its
angled position facilitating hands-free selfies
and video calling. It also has 4K video
recording and a Night Hyperlapse mode for
those arty long-exposure shots. It’s a flippin’
good phone, basically.

T3 SAYS: You’ll wonder how you ever lived
without Samsung’s second folding phone.

SAMSUNG GALAXY S
From £799, samsung.com/uk

For the much-touted follow-up to its (non-
foldable) flagship Galaxy S10 smartphone,
launched last year, Samsung has leapt forward
a few numbers and called it the S20. The South
Korean firm certainly thinks the photography
capabilities are advanced, the phone offering
8K(!) video shooting, along with a feature
called Single Take that can instantly convert all
of that resolution goodness into 33MP stills. If
you want to take pictures the conventional way,
the rear triple camera set-up (12MP ultra-wide;
12MP wide; 64MP telephoto) is more than
capable. And for admiring your handiwork, you
can either use the stunning 6.2-inch QHD+
screen or transfer your pics and vids in high-
speed via the phone’s 5G functionality. So yes,
there’s plenty in this 20.

T3 SAYS: Fancy photography and fast transfer
speeds abound in Samsung’s latest Galaxy S.
