August 2019 3
Welcome to our
August issue!
I
’m ever hopeful that the amazing
weather we had last summer will make
a comeback, and while we wait for that
to happen there’s still time to style up your
garden space to make the most of it when
it does arrive! With this in mind we have
dedicated this issue to all things outdoors,
from the top style trends for your garden on
page 75, to how to create your own sanctuary
on page 94. Whether it’s for relaxing, getting creative or working from
home, we have all the inspiration for fashioning your own ‘she shed’.
There’s also a truly dreamy garden makeover on page 106. Helen’s
turned her space into an extension of her home with a chillout area,
fun bar and seating zone which looks good all year round. Elsewhere
we have more great real reader houses. Covergirl Hanna’s home on
page 14 will appeal if you have a love of art and prints and a penchant
for pink, while Hope’s renovation of her 1930s probate property is
remarkable. See page 38. In food this month, we have barbecue bites
on page 118 that will liven up your next gathering and in celebration
of Afternoon Tea Week there’s three tasty treats on page 120 that
will please any sweet-toothed visitor!
Have a fantastic month,
