Amazing London
Dutch growers created the Amazing

River, has pale purple starry flowers with
slightly wavy sepals on long stems. Ideal
for the vase. Group: 3. H&S: 4ft (1.2m).

C. heracleifolia ‘Wyevale’

C. cirrhosa ‘Freckles’ AGM
Native to the Med, this evergreen
clematis needs a warm, sheltered spot
to put on its eye-catching display of
creamy, maroon-speckled flowers. The
dark green leaves take on bronze tones
in winter. Group: 1. HxS: 13ftx39in (4x1m).

‘Bill MacKenzie’ AGM
From July to September this vigorous
cultivar is smothered in yellow, bell-
shaped blooms with a waxy texture that
looks like lemon peel. The large, fluffy
seedheads that follow will remain into
winter. Group: 3. HxS: 26x13ft (8x4m).

Acropolis
Introduced in 2018 by clematis grower
Raymond Evison, Acropolis is part of the
‘Boulevard’ patio collection. Bred to be
compact, it produces glorious carmine
pink blooms for six whole months.
Group: 3. HxS: 4x2ft (1.2mx60cm).

‘Frances Rivis’ AGM
One of the best alpine clematis; its
exquisite pale blue, slightly twisted
sepals hide an inner ‘petticoat’ of
white petals from April to May. These
are followed by silvery, silky seedheads.
Group: 1. HxS: 8x5ft (2½x1½m).

‘Nelly Moser’ AGM
A very good choice for a shady corner
as the stunning flowers – pinky-mauve
with bright pink stripes – will fade in
bright sunshine. Flowers: May-Jun,
with a second flush in Sept. Group: 2.
HxS: 10ft x39in (3x1m).
