The Alouette III is a multipurpose helicopter
built in France. Since 1967, it has been made use
of as a light transport and liaison helicopter for
the Austrian Armed Forces. They are also used
for basic training when it comes to training new
helicopter pilots. The plan is to have the de-pendable work helicopter continue to be used
by Austria’s Armed Forces until 2023. Christian
Erhart had the honor of designing one of the-
se helicopters for the “Airpower16“ and, even
more importantly, as part of the 50th anniversa-
ry of "Alouette III in Austria".
