“Educational” box kits
In addition to this article and
to further explain the process and its
inner workings, look for one to several
“educational” box kits available later
this year. They will feature a multiple
layer stencil set that will work in con-
junction with my box kit and correla-
te with my freehand painting process,
YES! A stencil that walks you thru a
freehand process... It will allow the
artist to navigate their way thru the
process(es) described here in this artic-
le, and allow artists who lack the free-
hand experience to really get involved
with this way of painting with an air-
brush. These pictures are some of the
early prototypes and may or may not
be available depending on feedback.
Those set for production are guaran-
teed to not disappoint!
Steve Gibson is an airbrush artist whose technical abilities are inspired by traditional oil pain-
ting. He specializes in automotive murals and portraiture as well as fi ne art. He has a BA in
Fine Art from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL. His fi ne art efforts have been recognized
by curators from both The Philadelphia Museum of Art as well as The Whitney Museum of
Art with selections into group exhibitions in both Long Beach Island, NJ and New York City.
His experimental nature, combined with a colorful and versatile work history make his pi-
eces both highly original at their core as well as masterful in their execution. His caliber of
excellence has been called upon by notable bike builders Jesse James, and Paul Teutel Jr. of
„American Chopper“ of which he appeared on multiple episodes in 2018 on the Discovery
Channel. 2018 also saw the launch of his custom paint line with Createx Colors, airbrush
work with Parisian fashion giant Balenciaga, as well as work with Sullen Clothing (release
in 2019). He was proud to be a part of the inaugural Airbrush Art Circus event in 2017 which is now held annually in
San Antonio,TX. Steve is also in his 10th year teaching studio classes in traditional approaches to drawing and painting
at Cygnus Art Center in New Jersey, USA.

Workshop examples
Here are two examples from
workshops last year in the US that ser-
ved as class projects. The woman with
the skull graces the side of the box of
the Grisaille Grey box kit, while the
other was the first painted using my
set as I introduced it to students for
the first time at the Airbrush Art Circus
in San Antonio, TX. The woman was an
original image designed in collaborati-
on with Jenn Mayberry while the Alice
Cooper is an original artwork by Sebas-
tian Krüger – of whom I am a fan and
wanted to do something fun! The Krü- ger piece was completely “freehanded” start to finish with no guide.
