says

Robert Owen

Artistic talent lies dormant in every person born, it can be
nurtured from birth by environment and present itself at
any time in a person’s life. Some choose to pursue their
talent, others chose paths of different pleasure.
Dan, a self-taught artist, grew up in a family of
artistically talented people, his older brother Rob was his
first exposure to the passion and beauty of art. Rob
would create stunning caricatures of people and characters
that imprinted a love for art in Dan’s young mind. His
parents were writers and photographers that ran a
newspaper publication at which he eventually worked.
He created his first piece of art at 6 years of age, while in
kindergarten. His first work was an ashtray, which is still
in his possession 50 years later and he remembers that
moment like it was yesterday. Inauspicious beginnings
for a man that creates truly masterful paintings, on a
weekly basis, in today’s time.
